The Edersee Meeting 2011

Last weekend was the annual meeting of the german Bonsaicrew and other friends of the Honda Dax and Monkey. I arrived at Thursday the campground at the Edersee and it was like 3 holidays. Altough the weather changed from day to day and with hailstorm at the first night, it was a great meeting in a wonderful landscape. This year were more Honda CY, CB and XL than ever - and it was an experience to see how these little bikes could run above the hills. It was my 4th time at the Edersee and not my last. So we see us next year in August.

Choppertown Nation Meeting 2011

This time I drove only with the small Honda to Kaldenkirchen and the weather seemed to be more rainy, so I left my cam at home. Safe, but not clever! BUT... here are some photos of this nice meeting with awesome bikes and great peoples.

My Eat Dust Jeans

Today I gave myself a special late birthday gift. An Eat Dust Jeans which I have buyed at Madeira Drive in Düsseldorf. The Raw Denim is incredible, it feels like a second skin. Great stuff! I think I put it on again when I go to sleep...

Heute habe ich mir ein verspätetes Geburtstagsgeschenk gegönnt. Eine Eat Dust Jeans, die ich bei Madeira Drive in Düsseldorf gekauft habe. Diese Raw Denim ist unglaublich und sie fühlt sich an wie eine zweite Haut. Klasse Teil! Ich denke, ich ziehe sie wieder an wenn ich schlafen gehe...

2. US Cars & Harley Meeting Meerbusch

So many Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, Chrysler, Dodge Cars (...and many others) were participant last weekend at the 2. US Cars and Harley Meeting of the V8-Freunde Meerbusch. Nice to see a matte black Cadillac 62 Cabrio, this little golden Handi-Van, a two-colored Edsel, the Ford, GMC and Dodge RAM Pick-ups, the El Camino and Ranchero and lots of Harley-Davidson especially the WLA and Model 26. A great party with beer, BBQ and music...

Live to ride

Riding a motorcycle, either a small, tall moped or a Big Balls V-Twin or a high-performance Supermoto bike, is all over the world the same. Motorcycling is like a ribbon all over any borders, all over any religions or social structures. Motorcycling seems a united feeling in any age and for any gender. And because this seems to be the only truth, this TV commercial works and hits your emotions in Far East and West Europe or South America or any other place in this world. Isn't it?



To build your bike or to customize and maintain it, a garage in Portugal looks like a garage in Portland, WA or Dinslaken, Germany. Received this nice photo by Kruizin Frank Bick from their visit at friends in Portugal. Like it was written at the wall - Have fun and a nice time, mates!

The Motorcycle Diaries

It is 1952 and the young medical student Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, later only named CHE, and his friend Alberto Granado travel four and half months across the South American continent. They started at Argentinia, Buenos Aires, drove thru Chile and Peru, visited the Machu Pichu, Lima, then Bogota and Caracas, visited Miami and taken a plane back to Argentina. In the beginning Che and Alberto drove their 5.000 Miles (8.000 km) journey with a single-cylinder NORTON 500 of 1939, later they switch the motorcycle against ships, the back of a truck or hitchhike. A road trip that showed Che his life's calling.

The Motorcycle Diaries / Diarios de motocicleta / Die Reisen des jungen Che is a Roadmovie from 2003, directed by Walter Salles based on the diaries of Che Guevara and Alberto Granado.
