From V8 to Pulled Pork BBQ

Wenn sich alte Muscle-Cars und Chrom-Boliden treffen, dann muß auch mal die Sonne rauskommen. Von Freitag bis zum Sonntag war es wieder soweit, zum vierten Mal trafen die V8-Freunde in Meerbusch Ilverich auf der örtlichen Festwiese. Und was da auf duftendem Rindenmulch auffuhr, konnte sich wieder einmal sehen lassen. Eine Wiese voll mit klassischen US-Cars, Motorhaube an Motorhaube V8 Power. So voll wie dieses Jahr war es noch nie und die Stimmung bei milden Temperaturen war bestens. Bis in den späten Abend hinein rockten die Live-Bands laut und ehrlich, dazu gab es aus den riesigen Smokern Pulled Pork und Spare-Ribs. Der Erlös aus der Veranstaltung wird wieder gespendet. Eine familiäre Veranstaltung, die hoffentlich auch in den nächsten Jahren in dieser Form und Größe erhalten wird und eine echte Alternative zu den großen kommerziellen Meetings bleibt.

Bigtwin Bikeshow Rosmalen II

The 3 days of Bigtwin Bikeshow in Rosmalen are over. A lot of bikes most of them of course Harley-Davidson, a lot of visitors and MCs and there was something for every taste. Colorful helmets from Biltwell, little MC puppys, great leather stuff, frames, engines, parts, parts and more parts. Shirts in any size from little babies to XXXL size.

Bigtwin Bikeshow Rosmalen

First day at the Bigtwin Bikeshow at the Autotron of Rosmalen. Supporting my friends of dock66 at their stand, we had nice visitors and conversations soon at the first day. Enrico from Wannabe Choppers with his nice wife Maria came to a long conversation and it was a real pleasure for me to walk with him over the expo and to talk about his ideas for style, handcraft and details. Thanks for his input and creative hints.

2. US Cars & Harley Meeting Meerbusch

So many Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, Chrysler, Dodge Cars (...and many others) were participant last weekend at the 2. US Cars and Harley Meeting of the V8-Freunde Meerbusch. Nice to see a matte black Cadillac 62 Cabrio, this little golden Handi-Van, a two-colored Edsel, the Ford, GMC and Dodge RAM Pick-ups, the El Camino and Ranchero and lots of Harley-Davidson especially the WLA and Model 26. A great party with beer, BBQ and music...

Live to ride

Riding a motorcycle, either a small, tall moped or a Big Balls V-Twin or a high-performance Supermoto bike, is all over the world the same. Motorcycling is like a ribbon all over any borders, all over any religions or social structures. Motorcycling seems a united feeling in any age and for any gender. And because this seems to be the only truth, this TV commercial works and hits your emotions in Far East and West Europe or South America or any other place in this world. Isn't it?



To build your bike or to customize and maintain it, a garage in Portugal looks like a garage in Portland, WA or Dinslaken, Germany. Received this nice photo by Kruizin Frank Bick from their visit at friends in Portugal. Like it was written at the wall - Have fun and a nice time, mates!

Harley-Davidson for 1932

It was the great depression but Harley-Davidson announced 1932 the greatest motorcycle value ever offered with two new models, a newly designed 45 Twin and a brand new 21 Single. Harley-Davidson said these are so many improvements throughout the line but with the lowest prices since years! Take a look almost 80 years ago...
