DIY Dirt Track

Found this photo years ago but still fascinate by this little dirt track probably in the UK. Must be funny to go round and round with some Minibikes like Honda Monkey i.e. Some nice real Dirttracks in Germany are Hindenberg Dirt Track Races, Schenkenhorst, Dirt Track Massen

Thinkin' about Winter, Hokkaido

Quote from the movie: From the orange and gold of fall to the pink cherry blossoms of spring, Signatures follows an entire winter deep in the hardwoods of Hokkaido, Japan. Deliciously deep January blower to April corn, we bring you a film about expression, and the art of riding on snow. Every turn has a personality, and every personality has it's own unique style: the air, the smear, the spin, the grab, the laid-out cutback carve. Shot in HD, Signatures is 100% human powered backcountry skiing in all snow-sliding styles: board, noboard, ski, and drop-knee.

Restoring of Yamaha CT-1 engine

Currently we are helping and building for our friend Michael Kronenberg a two-stroke Yamaha CT-1 engine for its DT-175. With the help of Franz of OSM, the engine has been opened and cleaned, to the bearings and seals replaced and a crankshaft have been replaced.

OMG! Nothing happened

Don't know why, but the last weeks were full of other things and so I didn't have time to post here. We had 2 meetings just in the neighbourhood by the Rumblers and Bottrop Kustom Kulture, but I visited only one of them. Shame on me! So the summer is right in sight and I promise to write and photograph more stuff...

Manpower against gasoline price

In the early 90s I bought my first cruiser bicycle, from Diamondback a model Long Beach - see last photo. I lost this bike to my son and he does drive it still today. So I renewed and remodeled my 100 years anniversary Schwinn classic cruiser with the springer fork to save some money at the gas station: 1 Mp against!

Field jacket

Ike Jacket British field jacket

Found this field jacket at the flea market. It looks like the British field jacket but it seems to be one from the french army.

The Ike Jacket

The short field jacket M44 worn by commanding general, Dwight D. Eisenhower. In extreme cold, a sweater, flannel shirt, and wool-cotton T-shirt could be worn under the Ike jacket.

Honda Three-Wheeler ATC

I'm not really a fan of the HONDA ATC, but it makes a lot of fun to drive it, to drift and to raise one of the rear wheels. The most interesting ATC is the small one with 70cc, but tuned up to 120, 150 and more capacity and power!

The Reverend from Bern

Very special, Reverend Beat Man is a one man show from Swiss, a one man label named Voodoo Rhythm Records and mixture of rockabilly, garage-rock and punk and art. Simple beats and riffs overlaying by his rough voice, so he's praying his evangelium of trash blues.

The Lighter icons

Once upon a time men delighted for tobacco smoke, divided their last cigarette and they gave a woman fire. The lighter was a question of style. Saw some days ago at the great themotart-journal from my friend Frank this inspiring photo and so we took a look into our pockets.

Norman "Sailor Jerry" Collin was a man with lots of talents. He was not only a painter, playing saxophone too, a radio host and became famous with his style to put ink in the skin. His today so called "old-school" style was influenced by his profession and the old sea-faring traditions of the sailor became subjects in his work until his death. Clean the Triumph

The Madeira Drive Shop in Düsseldorf is not only a Denim paradies but also a garage full with the spirit of backyard builders. Yesterday shop owner Hagen prepared his own bike for the springtime, supported by good mate Stefan. Thanks for shooting some impressions of the nice Triumph with rigid frame.

Be different: Haferlschuh

This traditional shoe was designed in the early 19th century by Franz Schratt, a bavarian shoemaker, as solid worker-shoe. The Brit named the shoe "half shoe" and until today it is a rough but very comfortable shoe, safe and treadable. The best are made by deerskin, a tough leather that always looks better when wearing
